While still a prototype, Samsung’s Transparent Micro LED builds on Samsung’s existing non-transparent Micro LED TVs, which use microscopic LEDs to create 4K resolution.

The current Micro LED TVs are available in sizes up to 114 inches, offering exceptional visual quality at premium price points ranging from $109,999 for the 89-inch model to $149,999 for the 114-inch model.

What LED Display Has The Highest Resolution Right Now?

Currently, the LED display with the highest resolution is Q-Pixel’s LED Display, which achieves an impressive 6800 pixels per inch (PPI). This groundbreaking active-matrix color display packs a 3K x 1.5K resolution into a screen measuring just 1.1 cm x 0.6 cm, setting a new standard.

However, it’s important to note that Q-Pixel has also demonstrated higher resolutions in passive displays. In November 2023, they announced a passive 10,000 PPI micro-LED Display made from 1-micron full-color pixels.

What Is The Largest LED Display in the World Right Now?

The Sphere in Paradise, Nevada, features the world’s largest LED display. It’s an exterior LED screen called the Exosphere that covers approximately 580,000 square feet (54,000 square meters) and is fully programmable.

The Sphere’s display capabilities are truly impressive. While the exterior Exosphere consists of about 1.2 million LED pucks, each containing 48 individual LED diodes, the interior features an even more remarkable screen. The interior LED display spans 160,000 square feet and produces an incredible 16K x 16K resolution. Both the exterior and interior displays can show up to 256 million colors.

At 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, the Sphere is also the world’s largest spherical structure. The Sphere’s enormous size and cutting-edge display technology make it a standout attraction, not just in Las Vegas but globally.

What Is The Smallest LED Display In The World Right Now?

The current smallest LED display is likely the microLED AmµLED 0.13″ series by Jade Bird Display, which measures just 0.13 inches (3.3 mm) diagonally and has a resolution of 640×480 pixels.

The manufacturer refers to it as a “VGA display panel” due to its resolution matching the VGA standard. However, it uses modern microLED technology.
